Description: Name - Paige Palk Age - 22 I have been riding since the age of 9, I was lucky enough to get my first pony at the age of 10 and haven’t looked back since. When I was 13 we brought a 3year old Moreland pony called munchkin, as nuts as he was I loved him as soon as I saw him. He just had the cheekiest character. He was my pony of a life time and together we grew as a pair from jumping 60cm to 1.20m . He had hundreds of wins and may of them at National level including Scope, Pony club championships , Bluechip and many more. When I was 16 it was time to let Munchkin go and move on to horses. This is where I introduce George. This is George aka The King of the Bay he is a 16.2, 11 year old Holstein warmblood. I first got George as a unbroken 3year old colt, imported from Holland. It has been a great learning curve to break and school George into the stunning horse he is today. It has taken patience, dedication and a great support network to get George into tip top physical condition so that we can compete and be a successful show jumping combination. Most people say I was crazy going from a 138 showjumping pony to a 16.2 unbroken warm blood and they might have been Wright. It wasn’t an easy ride breaking a horses after just coming of a 138. We defiantly had are ups and downs but I’m so glad I stuck through it, as now we have an incredible bond. There is no feeling like it. Bring a horse that we couldn’t even brush at first without having problems, a horse that would buck, rear, kick bite and a horse that people would tell me time and time again ‘he’s dangerous he needs putting down’ into a horses that’s now competing competitively at Fox hunter and is such a gentleman and pleasure to own in all ways and most of all such a happy horse. In the last few years he has won numerous classes and competed in national competitions such as Bluechip and Bicton. I love your products because they really do work. It is imperative that George is kept comfortable when competing. He is extremely irritated by flys so this is So important. I feel like I deserve this opportunity as I am completely dedicated to the sport and I also ensure George is cared for, before my own needs. It’s not easy working full time and caring for a horse completely on your own as well as keeping up with your training to maintain your level of jumping. I work pay check to pay check to enable myself to continue doing the sport I love but I wouldn’t change it for the world. Thank you for this opportunity Many thanks Paige Palk
